Barking & Dagenham Aquatics Club officially became an independent club at the end of the summer and whilst not without its challenges, we’ve been full steam ahead with the support of everyone involved in the club. A big heartfelt🩵thank you to coaches, volunteers, officials, parents and to the swimmers who keep showing up and demonstrating their dedication. Moving into the last month of the year where we wind down just a bit, it’s time to reflect on the 2025-2026 season so far.
September:
The Essex Mini League continued and we kicked off with our own Club Championships on 20th September and look forward to announcing more of these club events in 2026.
Brock Whiston brought it home all the way from Singapore with four medals from the World Para Swimming Championships.
October:
22 swimmers took part in the Gators Autumn Gala at the London Aquatics Centre which was our first L3 event of the season.
The National Arena Swimming League kicked off with team Barking & Dagenham placing 3rd after Round 1.
And just before the half term break, selected swimmers represented at the Essex Winter Championships.
Closing the month was the last session of the Essex Mini League where the team ended in 3rd place 🥳.

November:
Round 2 of the National Arena Swimming League landed the team in 3rd place with some super performances.

We ended the month on the high of the Dunmow Christmas Cracker at our home pool with a whopping 90+ swimmers representing from each of our squads. The team placed 2nd🏆overall and brought the atmosphere and countless new personal records achieved by our swimmers.

Happy December🎄
We’ll be wrapping up the year with two more events – Round 3 of the National Arena League and the Swim England National Winter Championships before end of year festivities and a moment of calm, ahead of an action-packed 2026!
